APPS Pulgaon came into existence in 1954.It was named back then as Garrison School Pulgaon. In year 2009,the school was renamed to Saurya Army Pre School. In April 2011,the school was redesignated as Army Pre Primary School. It was during this year the school came under the aegis of AWES.

APPS Pulgaon was primarily for children of service personnel and depot employees. It aims at imparting sound basic education to students between the age group of 3 to 5 years and developing in children the qualities of a good citizen, disciplined individuals and all round development in their personalities. School offers learning space for early childhood care education (ECCE) to children before they begin compulsory education at primary school.
